Help for Individuals

Although it is our preference to support projects that benefit the greatest number of people, the need is often felt to give selective help to individuals.

This help is usually given in the form of specialised equipment that is not provided by statutory organisations for policy reasons or due to lack of resources.

Anyone with some form of special individual need could be considered for assistance in purchasing equipment that would alleviate his or her medical condition. A medical practitioner should properly support requests for assistance.

These items of equipment might include:

  • Wheelchairs
  • Mobility scooters
  • Special beds and mattresses
  • Communication aids
  • Computer software
  • Mobility aids
